Kathy's Birds quilt (#2 for me)

This quilt came from an enthusiastic new client, Kathy. She embroidered and pieced this quilt at a class in a local quilt shop, Rumpled Quilt Skins in Okotoks, AB. One of her classmates is a dear client of mine, and had actually brought her own "bird" quilt to me for quilting. Kathy wanted a similar approach to her quilt, but I changed up a few of the details here and there, just for variety. The embroidery is really impressive, so I tried to keep it the highlight of the quilt, and not let my quilting distract from it. Thanks for letting me have another stab at this lovely pattern, Kathy!

All of my quilting is free-motion, hand-guided on a longarm quilting machine.
