Carol's Pair of UFOs

My quilty friend Carol had these projects on hand for a very long time - like, years. They were what we quilters call, "UFOs" - Un-Finished Object. This is a common affliction for many crafters. They get so excited about the next project, the next pattern, the new kit they bought, the fabric that was so irresistible - that they just HAVE to move to the next one before actually finishing the current one. I've even heard it compared to an addict needing their next fix!

Well, Carol is free and clear with this order. These two are UFOs NO MORE!

Linda's Moose quilt

Linda made this moose-themed quilt for her son and daughter-in-law, I believe. They live up north and are quite outdoorsy, from the sound of it. This lovely piece will be helpful as the summer starts to turn into fall and a long, cold winter!

Barb's Grandson's quilt

I love learning new things about people. For instance, this quilt was made by a gal that I go to church with, Barb. But I didn't even realize that Barb was a sewist until she called me up to ask if I could help her finish this quilt. So now, we're fellow congregation members and also quilting buddies!

This quilt was a gift for her grandson, who likes purple. Such a funky, cool quilt for a young man. Good job, Gma Barb!

Rosemarie's TEN quilts!

I'm not even going to try and describe all these quilts. There were TEN of them in this order! Rosemarie spends much of the wintertime piecing, and then brings her projects to me all at once. Giving me the summertime, when she's busy with ranching responsibilities, to get the quilting done on them. Some were simple edge-to-edge, and others were light-custom jobs. Each one is FABULOUS!
