Donna's Charming Sampler

This lovely quilt top incorporated lots of techniques and traditional quilt blocks. Some applique, some stars, some pinwheels, and lots of lovely fabrics. It was meant to be a cuddle quilt, so we elected to go with a looser edge-to-edge quilting motif. And Donna said she loves feathers (and really, what sane person doesn't?), so I quilted meandering feathers. I just love how they sorta spill out all over the quilt, organically tumbling this way and that.

My quilting is all free-motion, hand-guided on a longarm quilting machine.

I realize this is silly and vain, but it is very gratifying to get a quilt folded up crisply and placed inside a bag with my logo. It just feels good!
