Sawtooth Batik quilt

This vibrant quilt was another that came to me all the way from Renee in Washington. It's constructed of really beautiful batik fabrics, which are really tightly woven. I love hearing the patter of the needle going through batiks, as I quilt them. Sounds kinda like tires going over a rumble strip on the highway. Fun!

I used an edge-to-edge paisley design for the quilting, which gave it a yummy texture and created some nice movement. This quilt is gonna look really great flung over the back of a chair in their house. It's especially striking laying on the white snow of our front yard!

All my quilting free-motion, hand-guided on an APQS longarm quilting machine.
