Log Cabin Star

This quilt came from my lovely client, Linda. At up-close glance, it looks like a typical Log Cabin quilt. But when you stand back, you realize there's a secondary design of a giant Ohio Star (or LeMoyne star or Texas Star - I can never keep my stars straight!). Spread out on a bed, it will be awesome!

All quilting was free-motion, hand-guided on a longarm quilting machine.


I kept to a pretty large scale on this piece, so that it wasn't stiff. I included a nickel in the photo below, for reference. I call this "macro-quilting".
